The Seaview Hotel

John o' Groats is a friendly welcoming hotel situated close to the start/finish line.  You can get an official association stamp in your log book both here and at the First and Last shop and if you haven't already got a membership application you can pick one of these up here too.


Ar Dachaidh, Badnellan 

A small traditional croft type B &B situated near Brora, roughly half way between Inverness and John o' Groats.  One we have been recommending for many years.


Crianlarich Hotel

Anyone taking a western route through Scotland will probably pass the Crianlarich Hotel, it is "activity friendly" and has a large drying room and free storage, another one that we recommend in the route pack. 


Moat Vale Campsite

A friendly campsite, handily situated on the route near Longtown Cumbria, check out their website. 


Newtonmore Hostel

Not only under new ownership but now run by  Association members.   situated on a main route for end to end trips, excellent facilities for walkers and cyclists.  Visit their website for more information, bookings etc.  We have been informed that a discount is now offered for end to enders.


Newmoor Park

Provides a range of accomodation options on the Devon Cornwall border.  Check their website for details.

The Cycle End to End website has masses of information for the end to end cyclist, well worth a look at.


Sustrans, the charity responsible for the national cycle path project and promoting sustainable transport.


Skedaddle, a company specialising in cycling holidays and accompanied trips, including end to end.


Practical Car Rental have a site at Forres, they offer one way rental and are willing to pick you up from Inverness if neccessary.

Wondering how to get from Inverness to John o' Groats at the beginning or end of your trip?  Then why not have a look at this site, a company that will transport you and your bikes from JoG to Inverness or vice versa in a luxurious bus.
